  • Financial Assistance

Little red house does accept childcare subsidy.  Please contact Child Care Resource at: 802-863-3367 for more information about financial assistance for childcare.

  • Deposit

1/2 month's tuition upon enrollment to ensure your child's spot.  The deposit is then returned to you after the two week trial period if you choose not to remain in the program or returned to you upon withdrawal with two-week notice from the program. 


  • What does tuition cover?

-Care (provider salary, including vacation time)
-Food (breakfast, a.m. snack, p.m. snack)
-Liability insurance
-Space/utility expenses
-Materials 


  • Program Closings

little red house operates in accordance with the Essex Public School's school year vacation and holiday closings unless otherwise notified.  Closing dates are noted in the calendars on the "Happenings" page.


  • Summer

little red house is closed for two weeks in the summer. These are unpaid vacation weeks.   You may choose the summer month for which to pay half of your monthly tuition, even if my vacation weeks do not fall in that same month.  Dates TBD.

  • Alternative/Vacation Care

little red house recommends Babies To Boomers, a local, highly reputable child care placement agency, for alternative care when we are closed.


  • Pet Policy

little red house is a pet-friendly home program. 



Enrollement Procedure:

1. Initial parent/child visit with Lisa. 

  • This will take place during a mutually-convenient time and is an informal visit during which I, the provider, You the Parent/Guardian and your child get to know each other a bit.  This visit takes place in the play space where your child is free to explore while I talk with parents.  A tour and brief overview of the program will be given.  This is a wonderful time during which to ask questions and get a feel for the program and provider.

2. Paperwork visit

  • This is a visit that is preferably parents/guardians only once a decision has been made for your child to attend little red house, as there will be paperwork to fill out/sign and policies to go over.



3. Play Visit
  • Feel free to return with your child during a regular care day so that your child has the opportunity to meet and play with the other children.   



Return all paperwork along with deposit to reserve your child's spot.

The following forms must be returned, along with deposit, to ensure enrollment:

1.      Admission Form

2.      Proof of Immunization form OR

3.      Childcare Immunization Exemption Form

4.      Over-the-counter Medication Release Form

5.      Prescription Medication Release Form

6.      Exclusion from Care Statement of Understanding Form

7.      Emergency Medical Treatment Authorization Form

8.      Signed and dated Contract with little red house


  • Things to Bring to Store in Cubby 

- Sippy cup/water bottle

-2 sets of spare clothes (pants, shirts, socks, underwear)

-Diapers: if your child is in diapers, please bring diapers, any creams or ointments you would like used and wipes to be stored in your child's cubby. Take note when your supply is low.  We happily do cloth diapers.   

-4 pairs of underwear at all times when toilet-training

-Indoor shoes: something your child can freely move in without falling off or slipping: Crocs, Robeez, easy on/off sneakers, slippers with no-slip bottoms, etc.

-Weather-appropriate gear/clothing:  snowsuit, mud pants/boots, bathing suit etc.

-Outdoor shoes that are conducive to active play (i.e. no flip-flops, dress shoes etc.)

-Sleeping bag/nap blanket and a small fitted sheet to be kept here during the week and washed/rotated on weekends. Feel free to bring anything else your child likes to have while resting stuffed animal, special pillow or blanket, etc. (refer to sleep policy in handbook for infant sleep regulations.)

-Sunscreen (*no spray varieties) and bug-spray.  I do have natural, plant-based bug spray that is quite effective that I am happy to share.
